My bisyos (vices) in life:
We are all entitled to our little space on the web. This is my space on the web where I air my two cents to the world. I do it not just because it is my right, but because those two cents can be beneficial to others.

What the Philippines Needs
A blog poster at Filipino Voices website wrote a very poignant piece titled "I Don't Need Heroes." Countering the clamor that the country needs another Jose Rizal or another Ninoy Aquino, he said that the country only needs people who do things the right way.

On Human Wings
You know, since I have been drawing vampire girls with bats' wings, I recalled one of my useless musings from long ago. You know, if humans really had wings, bat's wings would be more anatomically correct. We are used to bird's wings more because of how they were represented in old religious art on angels. And birds are more common to see in flight. Thus, people normally think of bird's wings on winged humans.
But why I say bat's wings? Humans are mammals. Bats are mammals. Birds are of a different family. So if humans sprouted wings, bat wings would be it. Well, for accuracy's sake, that is.
I think the thought of bat's wings as "evil" wings has to stop. haha.

Biggest Disappointment in Life...
Hmm, you know, I've always found naming the biggest disappointment in my life difficult to answer. It's because there are so many disappointing moments in life, that it's best not naming them.
But now I've pondered on it, and I guess what I can consider my biggest disappointment in life was not studying Fine Arts. I had two chances, in University of Santo Tomas and University of the Philippines Diliman. I had hoped to use these Fine Arts credits to get an art-related job and probably enjoy more than what I'm doing now. I had wanted to do comic books.
I may be a writer now, but what I really liked doing is to draw. I still like to write, but I miss drawing and art. I just have no time now since my writing job is the only source of income I have. But I'll still love drawing and keep a few sketch pads on the side to keep myself from rusting in my other craft.

Edward Bernays and the Control of People
I recently watched a documentary series on Youtube called "Century of the Self," produced and directed by Adam Curtis and shown on BBC in 2002. There are over 24 or 26 parts, of four episodes, posted on Youtube. I hope to get an actual recording of this.
